The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a Group-level executive responsible for shaping and leading the Group’s technology strategy, digital agenda, and enterprise-wide technology-enabled transformation. The CIO partners with the senior leadership, and business leaders to translate the Group’s strategic priorities into technology and transformation initiatives that create measurable business value, strengthen patient and employee experience, improve operational performance, and enable sustainable growth. The CIO is accountable for the Group’s overall technology ecosystem, including enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, business applications, digital platforms, technology governance, and technology investment. The role leads the evolution from a primarily IT-operating function toward a scalable, integrated, data-driven and digitally enabled enterprise. The CIO also leads technology integration and transformation in a complex, multi-site healthcare environment, including standardization and integration across entities and support for M&A activities. The role is expected to balance reliability and risk management with innovation, speed, and business transformation. The Chief Information Officer reports directly to the Group Chief Executive Officer RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Group Technology Strategy & Governance - Define and lead the Group’s multi-year technology strategy and roadmap in alignment with the Group’s business strategy, growth plans, patient-centric strategy, and future operating model. - Translate business priorities into clear technology priorities, investment themes, transformation programs, and measurable outcomes. - Establish the Group’s technology governance framework, decision rights, standards, architecture principles, policies, and technology operating model. - Advise the Executive Leadership Team on technology opportunities, risks, emerging technologies, major investments, and implications for business strategy. - Continuously assess the maturity of the Group’s technology landscape and define the target-state architecture and capabilities required to support future growth. 2. Enterprise Technology & Business Transformation - Lead the Group’s enterprise-wide Technology & Business Transformation agenda, moving beyond technology implementation to redesign processes, ways of working, capabilities, and operating models. - Develop and govern a transformation portfolio with clear priorities, business cases, milestones, ownership, investment requirements, and measurable benefits. - Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for process simplification, automation, digitalization, data-driven decision-making, and service innovation. - Ensure transformation initiatives deliver measurable improvements in patient experience, employee experience, productivity, operational efficiency, quality, scalability, and business performance. - Lead organizational change and adoption, ensuring that new technologies, processes, and ways of working are embedded effectively across the Group. - Build a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technology-enabled problem solving across the organization. 3. Digital, Data, Analytics & Emerging Technology - Define the Group’s digital and data strategy as an integral component of the overall business and technology strategy. - Establish the capabilities required to leverage data and analytics for management decision-making, operational performance, financial visibility, patient experience, and business growth. - Evaluate and prioritize the practical application of AI, automation, cloud, advanced analytics, and other emerging technologies based on business value, scalability, risk, and readiness. - Promote a data-driven culture and strengthen data governance, data quality, data ownership, accessibility, and responsible use of data across the Group. 4. Enterprise Architecture, Applications & Integration - Own the enterprise technology architecture and application landscape, ensuring scalability, interoperability, security, reliability, and alignment with the Group’s target operating model. - Lead the Group’s business applications roadmap and future capabilities, including the rollout and optimization of core systems across the network. - Drive integration and standardization across hospitals, clinics, Head Office, and other entities to reduce fragmentation and improve enterprise visibility. - Ensure technology solutions and architecture are designed to support future business expansion, new entities, and M&A integration. - Drive continuous improvement in application performance, usability, stability, releases, upgrades, and lifecycle management. 5. Technology Infrastructure, Operations & Service Excellence - Ensure a resilient, scalable, secure, and high-performing technology infrastructure that supports critical healthcare and corporate operations. - Oversee IT service management and establish service levels that meet the needs of clinical, operational, and corporate stakeholders. - Manage strategic technology vendors and partners, ensuring commercial value, service quality, performance, and accountability. - Establish appropriate sourcing and delivery models across internal teams, managed services, professional services, and strategic technology partners. 6. Cybersecurity, Data Protection & Technology Risk - Own the Group’s overall cybersecurity, information security, data protection, and technology risk agenda. - Establish and continuously strengthen security standards, controls, policies, monitoring, incident response, and risk mitigation practices. - Ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, and industry requirements relating to information security and data protection. - Lead technology risk assessment and mitigation for major transformation initiatives, new technologies, third-party arrangements, and M&A activities. - Ensure robust disaster recovery, business continuity, backup, and resilience capabilities for critical systems and data. 7. Technology Investment, Financial Management & Value Realization - Own the Group technology budget and investment portfolio, ensuring resources are allocated to the highest-value strategic priorities. - Develop robust business cases for major technology and transformation investments, including cost, benefit, risk, implementation roadmap, and expected return. - Track technology investment performance and benefits realization, linking technology spend to measurable business outcomes and value creation. - Drive cost optimization and technology rationalization without compromising service quality, security, resilience, or strategic capability. 8. M&A, Enterprise Integration & Scalability - Provide technology leadership for M&A and expansion activities, including technology due diligence, integration planning, transition, standardization, and post-merger stabilization. - Identify technology constraints and opportunities that may affect organic or acquisitive growth and adapt the technology strategy accordingly. - Define scalable integration standards and architecture principles to enable efficient onboarding of new hospitals, clinics, and other entities. 9. Executive Partnership & Business Leadership - Act as a strategic business partner to the Executive Leadership Team, translating technology topics into business implications, options, risks, and decisions. - Build strong relationships with clinical, operational, commercial, finance, HR, and corporate functions to ensure technology priorities are business-led rather than technology-led. - Provide clear executive-level reporting on technology performance, transformation progress, key risks, investment status, and business outcomes. - Represent the Group in strategic relationships with technology partners, industry organizations, and relevant external stakeholders. 10. Organization, Talent & Leadership - Build and lead a high-performing Group technology organization with the capabilities required for the future state of MSG. - Develop the organization structure, leadership pipeline, capabilities, and talent strategy across technology, digital, data, architecture, cybersecurity, applications, infrastructure, and transformation. - Coach, develop, and empower technology leaders and teams while establishing clear accountability, performance standards, and collaboration across the Group. - Create an operating culture characterized by business partnership, innovation, accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred. - 10+ years of experience in senior technology leadership roles, preferably at CIO, CTO, or IT Director level. - Significant senior leadership experience in technology, digital transformation, or technology-enabled business transformation, preferably in a complex multi-site organization. - Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide technology and business transformation and translating business strategy into a technology and transformation roadmap. - Strong business acumen and financial mindset, with demonstrated ability to evaluate technology investments based on business value, ROI, risk, and long-term strategic impact. - Experience leading large-scale transformation, organizational change, stakeholder adoption, and cross-functional programs involving multiple business units and locations. - Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, business applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data & analytics, cloud, automation, AI, and digital platforms. - Experience in healthcare, HIS/EMR, or deployment and integration of core systems across multi-location businesses such as banking, insurance, retail, or other complex regulated industries is highly preferable. - Experience in M&A technology due diligence, integration, standardization, or post-merger technology transformation is an advantage. - Excellent executive communication, influencing, negotiation, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills. - Strong people leadership capability with experience building and developing high-performing technology organizations. - High energy, strategic, pragmatic, and comfortable operating in ambiguity and complex transformation environments. - Strong alignment with MSG PCARES culture: Patient Centricity, Compliance, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Sympathy
