Eventista is a fan engagement platform that helps businesses maximize event revenue from the community, with a diverse ecosystem of solutions: online voting platform, ticket distribution platform and merchandise platform, an interactive application between artists and fans. Eventista is currently a strategic partner of top-tier entertainment companies in Asia such as Glamanand Supermodel India, Sen Vang Entertainment, Uni Corp, TNA Entertainment,.... becoming an important platform to bring business efficiency outstanding for businesses in the entertainment industry. We are looking for a Senior Back-End Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable backend systems powering high-traffic voting, ticketing, and fan engagement platforms. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, architectural thinking, and the ability to mentor team members while ensuring system reliability, security, and performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Core Platform Development Design and build NestJS services and APIs for voting, ticketing, and fan engagement features that stay fast and stable during live-event traffic spikes. Guarantee correctness under concurrency: accurate vote counts, no duplicate votes, no ticket overselling, and idempotent payment handling. Use Redis as a core building block: caching, atomic counters, rate limiting, and distributed locks. Design asynchronous processing with SQS and RabbitMQ to absorb sudden load and decouple services. Model data across MongoDB, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL, choosing the right store and access pattern for each workload. Integrate payment gateways and social platforms, including callbacks, retries, and reconciliation. 2. Performance and reliability Profile and optimize Node.js code and database access (queries, indexes, key design, connection handling) to keep response times low at peak load. Run load tests ahead of major events, define performance benchmarks, and fix bottlenecks before go-live. Build monitoring, alerting, and logging for the services you own, so issues are detected before users notice. Support production during live events and lead root-cause analysis after incidents. 3. Security and anti-fraud Implement secure authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT) and protect user data. Build anti-bot and anti-fraud defenses for voting and ticketing: rate limiting, abuse detection, and duplicate-vote prevention. Keep payment flows secure in coordination with payment gateway partners. 4. Engineering quality and collaboration Own features from technical design to release, and document design decisions clearly for the team. Review code and mentor junior and mid-level developers. Work with Product to turn business requirements into technical solutions and realistic estimates. Work with DevOps on CI/CD and deployments on AWS.

Experience 5+ years in back-end development, including 3+ years with Node.js in production. Proven experience building and operating high-traffic, high-concurrency systems. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Technical skills Node.js and TypeScript: strong expertise, including the event loop, async patterns, and memory/CPU profiling. NestJS: production experience (modules, dependency injection, guards, interceptors, microservice patterns). Redis: in-depth experience with caching strategies, atomic operations and Lua scripts, distributed locks, rate limiting, and pub/sub or streams. You understand eviction, persistence, and failover trade-offs. MongoDB: in-depth experience with schema design, indexing, the aggregation pipeline, transactions, and query profiling. DynamoDB: hands-on experience with partition key design, secondary indexes, and conditional writes. PostgreSQL: working proficiency in schema design, SQL, and indexing. AWS: hands-on experience working with AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS, CloudFront). System design: solid grasp of concurrency and distributed-system problems such as race conditions, idempotency, consistency trade-offs, and backpressure. Asynchronous processing: experience with message queues (AWS SQS, RabbitMQ), including retries, dead-letter queues, and idempotent consumers. Load testing: experience with tools such as k6 or JMeter. Security: strong understanding of OAuth2 and JWT. Delivery: RESTful API design, Docker, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. Nice to have Experience with voting, ticketing, fintech, gaming, or e-commerce platforms. Payment gateway integration experience. Cloudflare (CDN, WAF, rate limiting). Kubernetes (EKS) and infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation). Observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, or Datadog. If you have proactively explored Eventista’s products (Ticketing, Voting, Merchandise) and can identify a feature you would improve or an issue you would resolve, along with your proposed solution, rationale, and expected benefits for users. Soft skills Strong ownership and accountability for what you ship. Clear communication with Product and non-technical stakeholders. Structured problem-solving, especially under production pressure.
