YOUR SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Product Ownership: • Own a defined savings/investing product or surface, from problem framing through shipped outcome, often delivered inside a partner's platform. • Own the money flow behind your surface: where funds move, when they settle, how yield accrues, where it can break, and what a break costs. • Own the trade-off calls within your scope, backed by a rationale you can defend. • Own specs, prioritisation, and the quality bar for what ships under your name. Partnership: • Own the partner relationship on your surface: scope the integration, align on requirements, and keep the roadmap moving across two organisations.

Mandatory (Must-have): • Fintech systems depth — reason about how the product actually works underneath, not just the user-facing surface. Able to draw the money flow end-to-end (settlement, reconciliation, interest/yield, fees, float, mismatch handling, who holds the money and when) and name where it breaks before it does. • Business problem-solving — turn a vague, under-specified problem into a concrete solution. Read the insight underneath the presenting symptom, reframe when the obvious answer is wrong, and pick the fix with the most leverage. • Partnership skill — able to run an embedded-product relationship with a partner: translate between their constraints and ours, get technical and commercial stakeholders on both sides aligned, and turn a resistant counterpart into a collaborator without formal authority. Have shipped something that required another company to say yes. • Taste — know the difference between good and merely acceptable, and hold that bar. Can say specifically why one design or decision beats another, and have said no to your own work. • Judgement & communication — make a defensible call under incomplete information, and can explain a complex system to a non-technical exec or an external partner clearly enough that they buy in. • Roughly 4 years of experience is the anchor, but trajectory matters more than the number. Preferred (Nice-to-have) — you're probably a fit if: • You've shipped fintech or systems-heavy products (bonus if embedded into or integrated with a third-party platform) and can talk about the flow, not just the feature. • You've owned a partner or vendor relationship and can point to what you changed by aligning two organisations. • You ask for the one number that would confirm or kill a hypothesis, rather than everything or nothing. • You have a bar and a hierarchy in how you critique product — and examples of things you refused to ship. • Your career is on a steep upward curve, with owned, quantified impact you can walk through in detail.
